TEXAS SOCIETY ORDER
OF CONFEDERATE ROSE,
INC.
What is the
Order of Confederate Rose?
The Texas Society Order of Confederate Rose, Inc. (TSOCR) is an independent
support group to the Texas Division Sons of Confederate Veterans (TDSCV) and
the local camps thereof, governed by its own bylaws and standing rules. The
TSOCR, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, is non-racial, non-political and
non-sectarian.
What does the TSOCR do?
The TSOCR assists the TDSCV with their historical,
educational, benevolent and social functions. Special
emphasis is placed on the preservation of Confederate
symbols. As there are few rules or restrictions to
stifle the creativity of its members, each TSOCR chapter
is free to focus on the activities important to its
local TDSCV camp along with supporting SCV efforts
on the state and national levels.
Who is eligible to join?
Membership in the TSOCR is open to anyone ten years
of age or older, regardless of lineage and gender, who
wishes to support the TDSCV in their efforts to
protect and defend southern heritage and pride.
Meetings are open to all.
What is a
Confederate Legacy?
A Confederate Legacy is a boy or girl in whom a
member of the Texas Society Order of Confederate
Rose or Texas Division Sons of Confederate Veterans
wishes to cultivate an interest in southern heritage
and culture.
